bay to breakers 2010 in san francisco. i live in the panhandle in the middle of the route. my third year running, i learned my less: take a taxi to the start line. worked perfect. my goal was to finish the 12k, almost 7.5 miles, in under one hour. done! finished with about a minute to spare. set a new recorded personal time for a mile. i jumped with a fist pump just after the finish line. took a few sips of water. walked a couple blocks. then ran almost 4 miles home.
congrats to the kenyan woman that set a new world record of 38 minutes for a 12k. i'll stay happy with my 59.
